How It Works

All Cer­ti­fied Pass­ive House De­sign­ers/Con­sult­ants /pro­fes­sion­als are wel­comed to main­tain their cer­ti­fic­ate through con­tin­ued edu­ca­tion by earn­ing con­tinu­ing edu­ca­tion cred­it points.

You do not need to work in a plan­ning of­fice to help to dis­sem­in­ate and im­ple­ment the Pass­ive House Stand­ard - re­search­ers, in­struct­ors, or de­cision makers in gov­ern­ment au­thor­it­ies also greatly con­trib­ute to im­prov­ing the build­ing in­dustry.

So, if you can not re­new your cer­ti­fic­ate through pro­ject doc­u­ment­a­tion, you may re­new it through fur­ther edu­ca­tion and as­so­ci­ated cred­it points (CPs).

Cer­ti­fied Pass­ive House De­sign­ers/Con­sult­ants must earn 100 cred­it points with­in 5 years in or­der to main­tain it.

What You Need

In or­der to main­tain a cer­ti­fic­a­tion, Cer­ti­fied Pass­ive House De­sign­er/Con­sult­ant must provide the fol­low­ing doc­u­ments:

 

	Ap­plic­a­tion form	Get the form here.
		con­firmed   100 cred­it points	As con­firm­a­tion of the points col­lec­ted, you should send cer­ti­fic­ates of at­te­dance re­ceived after par­ti­cip­at­ing in the train­ing event re­ceived dir­ec­tly from the or­gan­izer (con­firm­a­tions are of­ten is­sued upon re­quest). News

The cer­ti­fc­ate re­new­al pro­cess though cred­it points has been up­graded as fol­lows:

New    Once De­sign­er still De­sign­er - Now you can main­tain your CPH De­sign­er cer­ti­fic­ate without the need to ap­ply for cer­ti­fic­ate re­new­al through a build­ing doc­u­ment­a­tion.

New    The meth­od works for ex­pired cer­ti­fic­ates too - From now on, the cred­it points meth­od can be used even if your cer­ti­fic­ate has already ex­pired. It is enough that the sum of points col­lec­ted over a peri­od of up to 5 years at the time of send­ing the ap­plic­a­tion will be 100 CPs. Please make sure theat in the moe­ment of your ap­plic­a­tion all col­lec­ted cred­it points are not older that 5 years.

New    The need to col­lect cred­it points from dif­fer­ent cat­egor­ies ab­ol­ished - De­cide at your dis­cre­tion what form of edu­ca­tion you will pur­sue to re­new your cer­ti­fic­ate. All 100 cred­it points can be ac­cu­mu­lated from one cat­egory of your choice only: Either by at­tend­ing courses or events alone. You can also get all re­quired cred­it points by giv­ing lec­tures alone. The choice now is yours!
