Around 50 % of the energy used worldwide is consumed in buildings. Most of this energy is used for heating and cooling. An airtight building envelope can reduce energy consumption and, as a result, significantly reduce climate-damaging CO2 emissions. Such a building envelope also significantly improves living comfort while preventing damage to the building and extending its service life.
The SIGA Airtightness Award is presented to a building that is distinguished by an outstanding airtightness concept in planning and execution.
