En­ergy-ef­fi­cient build­ings are es­sen­tial for ef­fect­ive cli­mate pro­tec­tion. They guar­an­tee max­im­um liv­ing com­fort, good air qual­ity, and low en­ergy bills. The build­ing stand­ar­ds Pass­ive House and En­erPHit ret­ro­fit present proven, cost-ef­fect­ive and re­li­able solu­tions for achiev­ing out­stand­ing en­ergy ef­fi­ciency in build­ings.

For more than three dec­ades, the Pass­ive House In­sti­tu­te has been one of the lead­ing in­de­pend­ent re­search in­sti­tu­tions in the field of highly en­ergy-ef­fi­cient con­struc­tion and ret­ro­fits. In ad­di­tion to our re­search act­iv­it­ies, we of­fer com­pre­hens­ive ad­vice on ef­fi­ciency meas­ures and pro­ject sup­port, train spe­cial­ists, cer­ti­fy en­ergy-ef­fi­cient build­ings and build­ing com­pon­ents, de­vel­op plan­ning tools and ad­voc­ate for Pass­ive House prin­ciples in policy, me­dia, and across the con­struc­tion in­dustry.
