New York City faces a pivotal election in this June’s Democratic Primary, which will determine the outcomes of most races in our very Democratic city. Term limits are forcing most elected officials out of office, including council members, borough presidents, the comptroller, and the mayor.

We invite you to join NYSAFAH and AIA New York’s Housing Committee for conversations with Council Members Mark Levine (4pm) and Ben Kallos (4:45pm), two of the candidates running for Manhattan Borough President. With their bully pulpits, roles in ULURP, and appointments of community board members, borough presidents can shape the future of housing. This event will consist of two separate moderated conversations, one with each candidate, to learn more about their visions for how they will address the design and construction of housing in Manhattan over the coming years.

Candidates:
Mark Levine, NYC Council Member, District 7 (4pm)
Ben Kallos, NYC Council Member, District 5 (4:45pm)

Moderators:
Kirk Goodrich, Partner, Monadnock Development
Brian Loughlin, AIA, APADirector of Planning and Urban Design, Magnusson Architecture and Planning
