Educational Passive House Tour 2018 Germany, Austria and Northern Italy This tour will take place right after the international Passive House Conference 2018 is in Munich from March 8-11, 2018. Come join us on our Educational Passive House Tour between March 11th –16th, 2018 and organised by Stich Consulting & Design Inc. in collaboration with CanPHI, the Canadian Passive House Institute. This tour will be all about Passive House buildings, Passive House products, suppliers and networking. This tour is designed for construction professionals like builders/developers, designers, architects and officials and decision makers from the public sector. Sunday, March 11 Participants attending the int. PH conference will be in Munich already and those coming only for the tour will fly in on time. Pick up in Munich at noon, location TBD. After a short introduction and orientation we will drive out and visit Musterhaus Zentrum POING, the show home development with over 40 prefabricated houses. After that, drive out to EBBS, Austria for overnight stay Monday, March 12 9:00 am – 1:00 pm Visiting OPTIWIN Window manufacturer and FREISINGER Timber Frame/Austria, including a lunch and learn with the option to check out products and contacts 1:00pm- 4:00 pm Visiting BINDERHOLZ/ Austria, CLT & Glulam manufacturer. Drive out to Brixen, Italy for overnight stay Tuesday, March 13 9.00 am-1.00 pm RUBNER Holzbau, Italy, Mass timber and Prefabrication , including a lunch and learn with the option to check out products and contacts 1.00 pm-4.00 pm ROTHOBLAAS/ Italy, leading supplier of fastening systems around mass timber and timber frame Drive out to Bolzano, Italy for overnight stay Wednesday, March 14 9.00 am – 2.00 pm Holzius/ Italy, Timber Frame, Green Building & Prefabrication production, including a lunch and learn with the option to check out products and contacts Drive out to Nesselwang/ Germany, stay in a PH Hotel overnight Thursday, March 15 9.00 am - 1.00 pm Schneider Holz/Germany, Wood Fibre Board, Glulam and CLT manufacturer 1 .00 pm – 2.30 pm social lunch and review 2.30 pm – 5.00 pm Baufritz/Germany, „the“ prefabrication company when it comes to innovations and green building Drive out to Blumethal, Germany for overnight stay Friday, March 16 9.00 am – 1.00 pm Merk Timber/German inventor of CLT and one of the biggest CLT manufacturer on the market including a lunch & learn and review 2.00 pm – 3.00 pm Drop off in/around Munich or Munich Airport Transportation, accommodation, breakfast, snacks during the day & dinners are provided. You will need to organize your flight to Munich and/or your entrance ticket for the international PH Conference and accommodation during the conference. Please make sure you have a valid passport, medical insurance and some cash as credit card payments might be limited. We will let you know where the pick-up on Sunday will be. It depends on how many participants will attend field trips offered by the international PH conference. We will try to accommodate the drop-offs on the last Friday as best as possible.
