With tours, great speakers, workshops, networking, live music, good food. This year’s conference looks like a winner so put the dates in your diary now. The 2013 AECB Conference themes are going to be “healthy buildings & sustainable water”. We are keen to focus on what it is like living and working in well designed and healthy sustainable buildings, as well as designing and building them, and also thinking about water – theme of 2012 weather! If you would like to present relevant work on project/s, and especially post completion research, including retrofit or new build, please can you send approx 500 words summarising a proposed piece. We intend to programme in some shorter slots in order to allow a wider range of presentations to be heard. Bradford has a lot of interesting places to visit in the area so you may want to make a short break of it and use the time to visit the National Media Museum, Saltaire and the Hockney Gallery in Salts Mill, near by the wonderful Hepworth Wakefield Gallery and Yorkshire Sculpture Park. All this and some of the best curries in the country.
