‘Principles for Nearly Zero Energy Buildings’, 9th November 2010, 14.00-17.30 European legislation requires that from 2020 all new buildings are nearly zero-energy buildings without proposing a concrete definition, leaving a number of uncertainties, specifically on the ambition level of such buildings in terms of energy consumption and CO2 emissions. This study analyses key principles for a proper definition of nearly zero energy buildings based on existing concepts across Europe and in line with the objectives and aims of the EU policy. For early registration (seats are limited!), please send an e-mail to info@bpie.eu or call +32 2 789 30 00. Please specify which part you would like to attend. Both studies are of specific interest for policy makers at EU and Member State level, as well as for the research community.
