Description: Michael Ingui from Baxt Ingui Architects will dive into the reasons and design benefits of doing a Passive House masonry retrofit (especially on historic or protected buildings).  He will describe the firm’s design and project process with the client, selecting general contractors, and collaborating with the team during the project.  The projects discussed will include the first Certified Passive Plus house in the United States, the first certified Passive House in a Landmark district, and the first LEED Platinum Certified Passive House in New York.  Photos and details of the various building components from the cellar to the roof will be discussed and shared.
