Schedule: Phase 1 submission deadline 15th May Shortlist agreed 1st June Phase 2 submission of slides and presentation boards 21st June 4th July awards ceremony – attending members vote UK Passivhaus conference – overall winner announcement Details and criteria Buildings can be submitted into any of the 3 categories: • New build domestic/residential • New build non-domestic • Retrofit/Enerphit domestic or non-domestic The development will be judged on • Energy consumption data – at least energy bills split into regulated and unregulated energy use in KWh/m2 calculated by PHPP • Internal environment - daylight factor (calculation), thermal comfort (internal temperature), plus indoor air quality (relative humidity and CO2 levels) if possible. • Occupant feedback – any, preferably quantitative (e.g. BUS questionnaire) • Other sustainability credentials (e.g. waste minimisation, potable water minimisation, ecological features, environmental impact of materials etc.) – statement of achievements • Innovative approach – statement of approach • Aesthetic design. The following details are expected in the first phase submittal: • Project name and type • Project team - Completed team biographies (maximum 200 words per individual) • Passivhaus certificate and PHPP summary calculation • Cost/m2 and overall project cost • Design narrative (up to 300 words) • Poignant and catchy quote • Architectural design: photographs and drawings (up to 15 images) • Measured performance data • Occupancy feedback • Other sustainability credentials • PowerPoint presentation outlining the above details To be submitted electronically in one zip folder maximum size 5MB clearly labelled with “UK Passivhaus Awards entry: project name” to info@passivhaustrust.org.uk Short-listed projects will be asked for the following additional information in phase 2: • Preparation of an exhibition board for their project, based on a standard template (A fee of £50 +VAT will apply to short-listed entrants to pay for printing an exhibition board about their project) • Facilitation of a site visit for the judging panel All details including application form and sponsorship packages can be found online www.passivhaustrust.org.uk The award entries will be judged by the Passivhaus Trust Board and Dr Wolfgang Feist and voted for by Passivhaus Trust members.
