Passive House Retrofits - deep energy explorations! To coincide with our 2nd annual open house tour, the Events Committee is organizing an all day seminar focused on Passive House Retrofits. The date is set for Friday, September 9th, and it will be hosted by Stopwaste.org in downtown Oakland. A full day of presentations and interactive sessions is planned. Presenters include Dr. Wolfgang Feist (via Skype), founder and developer of the Passive House standard and the new standard specifically for retrofits: EnerPHit. Other presenters include local and national retrofit case studies, a contractor’s panel and a data collection report on local retrofits conducted by researchers from Lawrence Berkeley Labs.
