The exam is mixed format questions, some multiple choice, some calculations, and some identification. It is structured in three sections. For in-person exams, you have 2 hours and 15 minutes. For online exams, you have 3 hours:

• Passive House Basics – this covers questions about the basics of Passive House requirements
• Building Envelope – this includes questions about assemblies and the thermal envelope
• Building Services – this section covers mechanical ventilation, heating, cooling, etc.
