The interest in Passive Houses has strongly increased in recent years all over Europe and the "Passive House Standard" is now widely known amongst stakeholders in the construction sector. There is now an opportunity for qualified people to learn the fundamentals for designing and building cost-effective Passive Houses through our intensive training course 'Certified Passive House Designer'. This course concept was developed within the EU-funded project "CEPH - Certified European Passive House Designer". Our 10-day CEPH course in English takes place from 30th of October until 13th of November 2012. On 10th of November a one-day excursion is scheduled to visit built Passive Houses during the '9th International Passive House Days'. The course consists of 80 lessons and covers the following topics related to the Passive House concept: * Basics and principles of designing and building a Passive House * Building envelope: thermal bridge free and airtight * Building envelope: windows * Building services: ventilation * Building services: heating, cooling, domestic hot water * Retrofit with Passive House components * Energy balance with PHPP - Passive House Planning Package * Practical implementation * Economic Passive Houses * Repetition day as preparation for the exam Please check the form "self-assessment" for necessary prerequisites.
